Iraq National Football Team

It has been governed by the Iraqi Football Association (IFA) since 1948. The “Lions of Mesopotamia” are one of the eight countries currently in the AFC to win the Asian Cup.

Promotion and relegation rules for All the levels[edit]

  1. Premier League (level 1, 20 teams): The bottom four teams are relegated.
  2. Division One (level 2, 24 teams): The top team in each group is automatically promoted, and The bottom 4 are relegated.
  3. Division Two (level 3, 126 teams): The top 2 teams in each group are automatically promoted; the bottom To Be Declared are relegated to their group of origin, according to the club’s geographical distribution
